Lifelong Learners

I'm doing this because I want the USB Flash drive and I want technology to work for me! Who else will do it for me? When I have a challenge - first I go a little crazy, and then when that's out of the way I can deal with the obstacles. My current obstacle is perfectionism, as in after 10 days and many clever ideas for a name for posts, I decided to use my own name. That's because I learned that perfectionism has a strong correlation with egotism. I would love to be able to teach others, however in this area, others are teaching me!

In reference to my blog name - I'm sure all you Librarian types know who Seshat is - don't you? Well just in case you don't, she is an Egyptian Goddess. Seshat still exists, well sort of. The ancient divinities don't go away you know, they just morph into numinous archetypes. This one is important to library people, because: Seshat is the wife/child/scribe of Thoth also known as Hermes, and the Roman Mercury, (whom I believe is on a wall somewhere in our library). Thoth (experts say) invented writing and Seshat was a scribe (unusual for a woman) and record keeper for Thoth's Library. She came to be known as The Goddess Of Libraries.

My next task after creating this blog - will be to figure out how to enter a link - just in case anyone wants to know more about my creative mistress/archetype/muse, Seshat! Well, I can't say this has been play-time as in "fun," but I'm hoping it will be eventually.
